The passion and the knowledge driving the creation of our food comes from Spanish co-founder, Ana Palenciano. Ana is from Andalusia, where our family produce some of the food you will find in our boxes.

Ana’s love of food, and the magic fire it brings to any occasion when people get together, is the driving spirit behind what we do.

That spirit flavours everything here at Tapas in a Box, where our recipes are true to the traditional cuisine of Spain. It also allows us to select authentic products with the eye of the insider.

Our Hot Tapas are cooked in small batches, by hand, and blast-frozen straight away. This process reduces the temperature of the food very quickly, capturing the original texture and flavour completely, so that the food on your plate is every bit as good as it was in our kitchen. If there is a part of you that doubts freezing as a means to protect hand-made, artisan food - try these, we think they’re very good indeed, and hope you’ll agree when you’ve tasted them.
